Introduction

St. Michael’s has a long history of supporting development

projects in Africa through its fundraising efforts for

Trocaire.

Over the years the students have raised thousands of pounds

to support development projects sponsored by Trocaire.

We have also supported their global gifts campaign each Christmas.

We feel that the school is now ready to move to the next level of

support by establishing a direct link with Africa.

The 13 students that have been selected to visit Mukuru

all feel that this will be a life changing experience.

I am so pleased that I am heading to Mukuru this Easter. All 13 students that were picked I believe can make a difference. I hope that as a group we will become more aware of how lucky we are to be given this opportunity.

I am also looking forward to raise money for this project over the next year. In fact "The King" will make his debut appearance in Mukuru.

Good Luck to all the students
